The Bhagavad Gita and the Monomyth

Paper, Order, or Assignment Requirements

This is for a World Literature Midterm, the book we use is the Norton Anthology of world lit, volume 1. ISBN 978-0-393-91960-8
.USE MLA FORMAT, CITE SOURCES–including your TEXTBOOK–to support your claims. Use SPECIFIC examples from your text that underscore the answers to each of these questions.

The following is the topic I would like the paper to be written on, it needs to hit on all the points. This is how the Midterm question has been written for us to answer.

Prior to studying the Epic of Gilgamesh, we enjoyed a protracted discussion about Joseph Campbell’s Hero with 1,000 Faces, the hero’s journey, and monomyth. Bhagavad Gita contains elements of the monomyth throughout. While we are only studying a segment of an admittedly much larger epic, the Gita nevertheless contains elements from the monomyth. Identify areas in the Gita where you can identify elements of the monomyth. What part of the Hero’s Journey is Arjuna on? Who do the various characters represent?
