Paper, Order, or Assignment Requirements

In a paper of approx. 550 words, provide an answer to the following question:

Our society tends to place a lot of faith in the machines we have created to make our lives better, including making more accurate, rapid choices in crisis situations. However, some would argue that no matter how precise a machine may be, it should never be allowed to completely replace human judgement and expertise, especially when it comes to issues of ethics and morality.

In your informed opinion, should machines or humans ultimately be in charge of ethical and moral decision making for society?

Consider at least two of the following articles (posted on this GS page) in answering the prompt:
1. Nuclear Power and the Public
2. Nuclear as the Last Resort-Why & How
3. Meltdown: What Went Wrong?
4. “Will your self-driving car be programmed to kill you if it means saving more strangers?”
5. “Darker Shades of Blue: A Case Study of Failed Leadership”
6. “How to Dispel Your Illusions”
